The purpose of the Meteorite Impact Viewer is to display Meteor Impact Craters Around the World. By clicking on each icon, you can view the crater name, location and size. The location is provided as a set of GPS coordinates. Exposed Craters are craters that would be readily visible at the site. Exposed Craters have visible edges, or features that denote them as a scar on the Earth. A prime example of an exposed crater is Barringer Crater in Arizona.
For more information on these craters, visit the Earth Impact Database.
